Limestone soils dominate the Ober Mosel where Mathias Hild has been quietly making some of the highest quality wines of the region. A truly unique profile for rosé-find notes of clementine, fresh herbs with a mouthful of razor sharp acidity.

Highlighted flavors: bitterness from gentian root and sweetness from cane sugar. Citrus is the third major component, so we add distilled coriander and grapefruit peels to give Leopold Bros. Aperitivo a bright, citrus aroma. We mix these components with a variety of fragrant flowering botanicals, including hyssop and Artemsia pontica. Colored with ethically sourced cochineal.

Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauv and Merlot grapes, Lillet Rouge is fortified with lemon and orange brandies and quinine, the latter of which acts as a bittering agent. The result is fruit-forward flavor and full-bodied texture, which can be an asset in both shaken and stirred drinks, or simply enjoyed on its own with an orange slice. Great in mulled wine, or add to Amari and cherry liqueur.

This comes from a single vineyard planted on decomposed granite located in the town of Ribadavia, and is comprised of the native grapes Treixadura (mostly), Godello, and Albariño. Ribadavia is known for producing lush, textured, and expressive wines, and A Teixa is exemplary of this

Geologist Pedro Parra is something like the wine world’s Indiana Jones, traveling around the world hunting for fine terroir rather than archeological treasures. In between consulting illustrious winemakers abroad, he crafts his own cuvées at home in Chile, in this case a bright, herbal and crunchy País, redolent of red berries, black pepper and granitic minerality.
