This is a Carignan dominate Languedoc styled blend. 17 months in neutral French oak barrels gives this balance and elegance without heavy oak flavors. Ripe red fruits of blackberry, cherry and bosenberry dominate right away, with more meaty and dried herbs on the mid palate and finish. Perfect alone or with pork and lighter pasta dishes.

Back from the dead, this Merlot has a classic claret character. Black tea, northland blueberries and wet concrete. The silky texture slides gracefully across the palate leaving behind hints of sweet plums, warm cedar planks, and freshly ground spices. As the wine glides toward the finish, you're grateful for friends and excited for the future.

Fixin has the reputation of being a rustic wine, but Amélie explained that is perhaps because the winemaking is rustic and not the terroir. Like all great winemakers, Amélie insists that the most important work happens in the vineyards and working the soil. She follows lutte raisonnée farming, with a strong leaning towards organic viticulture: no herbicides or pesticides in the vineyards. The wines are alive and vibrant, and offer a truly unique expression of Fixin.

Claudia Papayianni chose to return to her family's roots for her organic winery in Thessaly in Northern Greece. This region has much more Continental climes and less Mediterranean than much of Greece, with cold winters and hot dry summers. This red blend has aromas of plum and fig followed by flavors of ripe maraschino cherries. Well balanced tannins and lingering plum flavors.

Oliver Giroux bought Le Clos des Rocs as an ambitious young winemaker back in '02. Since then, minute attention to detail in the vineyard, organic conversion and a low intervention approach in the winery has turned it into a highly respected Maconnais estate.

A legendary producer of natural wines in Sicily whose influence the entire movement in southern Italy. Zibibbo, the local name for Muscat of Alexandria, sourced from an organic vineyards in Marsala, Sicily. Spontaneous fermentation lasting fifteen days with indigenous yeast before aging in amphorae for a further six additional months. Possibly the funnest wine in the shop!!

Bruno Clair has continued the tradition started by his grandfather, who first introduced rosé production to Marsannay in 1919. The region is known for producing delicate, soft, and fruit-forward quaffers (all the rage in early 20th century Dijon Cafés), and Bruno has captured a true rosé of Pinot Noir - all Pinot aromatics punctuated with crunchy, quenching fruit.

Winemakers Katie Jablonski and Ricky Taylor have created a Tempranillo tempered by the volcanic soils of the (almost) mile high Blue Mountain Trail Vineyard. Vinifying grapes from the Crooked Post Vineyard on the Texas High Plains, the winemakers at Alta Marfa have created an alluring skin contact white (read: orange wine!) that exudes floral and jasmine tea-like aromas that carry on to a playful palate popping with notes of lemon and parmesan cheese.

In addition to the grapes they grow on their own estate, the folks at Alta Marfa partner with regional growers that embrace organic and sustainable farming practices; in this bottle the grapes come from the Forbidden Desert Vineyard in New Mexico. An even split between Pinot and Chardonnay, this rosé is a Tangerine dream - a bona fide snack, indeed!

A savory, spicy, silky blend of Garnacha Tintorera — known elsewhere as Alicante Bouschet, and unique in the fact that the pulp as well as the skin is deeply colored (most red grapes have pale flesh inside those inky skins) — and Moravia Agria, a rare grape with high acidity and low alcohol. This is a pure wine with a high-toned nose (flowers, red fruit) and a complex palate.

Made from 100% Gamza, a grape native to Bulgaria's Danube region. Beautiful, sparkling pale pink color. The nose is medium intensity and slightly spicy with notes of strawberry jam and hings of minerality. Round, sweet and smooth body with gentle acidity and a sweet strawberry finish.
