Marchesi Alfieri Sansoero is produced from Grignolino grapes, a typical Piedmontese vine traditionally grown in the Monferrato Asti area. The name Grignolino derives from "grignola", a dialect term used to indicate grape seeds, more numerous in this variety than others.
