Unusual for the wines of Bolgheri, Giovanni Chiappini and his daughters have made their winery 100% organic, fermenting the grapes naturally with only indigenous yeast. This red is 50% Sangiovese, but it really showcases the inky, earthy Syrah that makes up 20% of the blend. Smoked meats in a rich berry sauce the natural tannins are subtle but imbue a powerful finish.
