This grape is rarely seen outside of its ancestral home of Friuli in northern Italy. In the Van Duzer corridor of Oregon it takes on bright peach and cherry blossom notes as it's fermented on its skins by the young winemaker Morgan Beck. Barrel-aged for a year this beautifully aromatic wine would delight with perfumy black cod in ginger/scallion sauce or duck with cherries.
