Tom Caruso of Pray Tell is obsessed with showing off the elegant side of otherwise muscular full bodied grape varietals. Piume is a blend of 60% Merlot sourced from the Rocks District AVA and 40% Pinot Noir from the Eola-Amity Hills AVA. About half was a carbonic maceration co-ferment, a process that amplifies fruit characteristics. 'Piume' is 'Feather' in Italian.
