Rouillon or "rusty" for the red tinge of the clay soils of the vineyard site is a single 1.9-hectare estate plot of 25-year-old Gamay and Pinot Noir vines. Hand-harvested, whole-cluster grapes undergo semi-carbonic maceration with very little addition of SO-2 and spontaneous fermentation on native yeast, creating a bright, fruit forward wine emblematic of the region.
