Chardonnay is a rarity in Abruzzo and these are some of the oldest Chard vines in Italy, brought back from France by current-generation Eloisa De Fermo's great-uncle and planted in 1926. Aged for 9-12 months in tonneaux. Stuns with a bouquet of crushed almonds, pear skins, brioche, and pretty florals. Silky in texture, it’s nicely balanced by brisk acids and spiced citrus.
