Garnet red with an intense bouquet, wood and notes of vanilla and spices clearly show through on the nose, owing to aging in large oak casks for 28 months. Bold, the tannins are assertive, yet very well-balanced. The 2012 Reserve comes out of the oldest vineyards in Rocche dell'Annunziata, now more than 40-years old. A delight to drink, and it's just beginning to unfold!
