This ruby wine, with an intense, fruity bouquet and a dry, full-bodied and aromatic taste, is obtained from the Aglianico vines grown on the sunny hills of the Samnium after a few days of maceration and careful refining. The name of the winery, Sannio, comes from the warrior-like race of people, the Samnites, who came to the area in the 6th century.
