Oban 14yo is a superb, full-blooded fruity malt with a whiff of heather and ample smoke. The medicinal notes are quite evident with notes of the sea; while there are notes of cut hay and wood smoke rising with a gentle estery sweetness. Beautifully balanced, the smokiness is tinged with seaweed, while the oak is rich with grist, cereal and malt. Wonderfully smooth and a lengthy finish.
