In the glass the wine is noticeably lighter in color than the other bottlings, but doubly as aromatic. Perhaps the first thing one smells is just how much closer to the Pacific Ocean La Côte sits. The bright saline lift of the aromatics evokes vivacity and energy. The wine is lively on the palate and its bright red fruits integrate playfully with polished tannins.
