This wine is grown almost equidistant between the Rhône Valley to the south and Beaujolais to the north. There is no carbonic maceration here so the fruit is darker, more deep and brambly. There is also a definitive black pepper note on the finish, bringing some Rhône spice to the bright Gamay grape.
