Dry-farmed in "Calistoga Joe’s” rich, black, volcanic soil. Abundant Marionberry, cedar, and roasty-chocolate notes infuse this wine from start to finish. The wine is aged a mix of American and French oak for 24 months which appeased the tannin monsters but maintained the heft and nurtured the somewhat roguish character of the wine.
