The sweet vin doux naturel wines produced in this area have been revered since at least the 14th Century. They are made by mutage, a process of stopping must fermenting while there is still a high level of natural sweetness. Dried orange peel, smoked walnut and a touch of ginger on the nose. The palate is well-balanced, understated on the entry, very smooth but quite light.
