Evocative of the great Chinons of the Loire Valley, Sutcliffe’s Cabernet Franc is varietally correct with bright floral and herbaceous notes. A sweet bouquet of violet and rose first hits, followed by dark pomegranate and ripe strawberry. The tannins are grippy, but well-integrated, and the finish offers a lean minerality.
