Plan de Dieu is a small appellation in the centre of the southern Rhône, between Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas, originally cultivated in the middle ages. Domaine Durieu was created in 1976. The wine's Grenache provides a backbone of warm, bright red, jammy fruit, while the addition of other traditional varieties gives a firm tannic structure and a spicy uplift.
