Ripe blackberry and strawberry fruit, touches of eau-de-vie and liquorice emerging to render the aromatics quite medicinal, in stark contrast to its showing a year ago. The palate is medium-bodied with saturated tannins, plenty of plump Merlot fruit and a succulent finish that has length and style.
