The native vine Sciaglìn, rediscovered by Emilio Bulfon, likely derives its name from “schiavolino”, that is a wine from Slavia, a Country located at the edge of Julian Alps. Now it is grown only in the area of Pinzano al Tagliamento and Castelnovo del Friuli, as required by a specific Regional regulation.
