The Ardoises cuvée is the Château’s “second” wine. Just as much care is put into its production but following vinification it is aged in Bordeaux-style oak barriques for 12 months. It is more instantly accessible than the former wine, mellow and supple, with lots of fruitiness and a long delicately oaky finish. It is a wonderful bottle to savour, uninhibited, over a good meal.
