Remarkably sculpted for such a big wine, the Griffin's Lair possesses remarkable depth and intensity from start to finish. Dark red cherry, plum, rose petal and violets are given an extra kick of aromatic lift from the 60% whole clusters. The flavors are so vivid and pure. Still, readers should plan on giving the 2014 at least a few years in bottle.
