The vines here were planted in 1998 and 1967 while the Cabernet Franc comes from 20-year-old vines in Barbaresco. The 2017 has a bit more stuffing than usual, reflecting the vintage. It's packed with juicy, red and blackcurrant and rose scented fruit with a class and tension that is terrific for the price.
