L'Hermitiére is produced in Perche, the southeast portion of the Calvados region of Normandy. The Poiré (perry) is made only with natural fermentation, pure pear juice, unpasteurized and bottle-conditioned. It has a fruity aroma with light lemon and citrus notes and tart mouthfeel, similar to a great unoaked white wine.
