The traditionally made 2014 Crozes-Hermitage 'Les Pierrelles' comes from a mix of terroirs (rolled stones, clay and sand) and will see 12 months in barrel before being bottled. Cassis, licorice, toasted spice and a touch flowers all emerge from this medium-bodied, elegant and sexy Syrah. It has some chewy tannins, but the overall impression is a pure, easy drinking Syrah.
