The ‘Tandem’ is a joint project between Gilles Trouiller and Jean-Louis Vera of Clos de la Serre in Maury. Fermented with ambient yeasts and aged in a mix of concrete tanks and large barrels, it’s filled with scents of olives, bay leaves and rosemary. Gritty, truffle-scented tannins fill out the texture, yet the tart cherry fruit remains lively. Full-bodied and structured, yet with thrilling purity, give this bottle 2-3 years and enjoy through 2027.
