The new oak isn't obvious on the nose, with notes of high-toned red cherry skin and rich soy sauce, almost vegetal at first smell. On the palate the oak is finely integrated: juicy cherries and red flowers are softly balanced with just a touch of sweet spice and structure. This wine slaps! If you have never had a German Pinot Noir this should be your first.
