Deep and powerful, but with grace and a lifted sense of minerality. Wild mountain berries are layered with a touch of sweet spices, fresh leather, and candied japonica prune. The mouth is juicy, succulent, with lots -yet never hefty- tannins. It has a menthol and tar quality reminiscent of Nebbiolo, but with a darker fruit profile.
