A blend of 50% Zinfandel, 40% Petite Sirah and 10% Carignane, the medium garnet-purple colored 2015 The Comet delivers intense black cherry, black plums and blueberry pie scents with suggestions of anise, fertile loam and mossy bark. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is soft and fairly restrained with great freshness and a long earthy finish.
