Each vintage Morgan Beck at Johan selects the barrels that show the most full-bodied, dark and rich traits to hold in reserve an additional year in barrel for the Nils bottling. The 2017 vintage was quite cool so the combination of black cherry fruit and deep dark tannins, while being true to the delicate acidity and aromatics of a classic Pinot yields a wine of complex beauty!
