The Trimble Vineyard was planted in the early 1940's. The old sprawl plantings of head pruned vines are certified organic and entirely dry farmed on well drained, loamy soils. The Mediterranean climate yields inky dark fruit, cloves, licorice, spice and lavender which the Ernest winery amplifies into a rich, structured wine with big tannins aged in clay amphore!
