Gustavo Riffo farms his family’s vineyards in the area of Portezuelo, making pipeño in a traditional way: organic methods with roughly 200 year old vines and minimal interventions in the winemaking process. This Pipeño is distinguished by mouthwatering black cherry, cola, crunchy plums and a dark minerality that only serves to enhance its already very thirst-quenching nature.

Pale pink color reminiscent of onion skin. Elegant fruit expression with notes of strawberry, grapefruit, watermelon, water pear and rose plus hints of petricor. Citrus notes complete the bouquet. Extremely dry, full-bodied with refreshing acidity. The vineyard is located in the coolest and westernmost part of the Casablanca Valley and is 18 km from the Pacific Ocean.

From a single, one acre vineyard in Chile’s Limari Valley, this Pedro Ximenez is incredibly small in production. This wine is bright and fresh, clean and fruit-driven. Try this with anything slightly spicy as it has delicious notes of apricot, honeydew, and canned peaches, with hints of chamomile and mint.

Geologist Pedro Parra is something like the wine world’s Indiana Jones, traveling around the world hunting for fine terroir rather than archeological treasures. In between consulting illustrious winemakers abroad, he crafts his own cuvées at home in Chile, in this case a bright, herbal and crunchy País, redolent of red berries, black pepper and granitic minerality.

A very fresh nose of raspberries, cranberries and sweet cherries lead to a concentrated palate of red fruits so dense they are almost dark, with a hint of spice, clove, and gardening soil. With air, the wine expands into more sassafras and sweet berry tones, but ultimately shows Pinot Noir's great detail, focus and energy.

This Carmenère has a deep ruby red color with violet hues. Aromatics are fresh and intense with notes of ripe dark berry fruits, black pepper and spices. The palate has a soft texture with ripe tannins, balancing acidity and a fresh fruit core with a lingering finish.

Longavi is a collaboration between Chilean winemaker Julio Bouchon and South African winemaker David Nieuwoudt. 100+ year old bush vines from the Southern Chilean region of Bio Bio. This wine is crunchy and has a fresh flavor profile with a touch of funk. I recommend this wine for a wine drinker that wants to be more adventurous. Hints of violet and a touch of tart berry fruit.

These grapes are grown on the Tupungato mountainside—one of the highest elevations in the Andes—where the days are warm and the nights cool. This Bonarda is unoaked, vibrant and full of fresh red fruits.

A small side project started in 2019 by Paco Leyton of Clos des Fous. The vision began in Itata when Paco met the seventy-something-year-old José Neira & visited the vineyard his grandfather planted in the late 1800’s. Paco fell in love with the head trained, bush vines comprised of Corinto (aka Chasselas), Pais, Cinsault, and Aramon located in the La Leonora subregion of Itata

This 100% skin fermented Moscatel is from Guarilihue region of Itata. The nose shows orange peel, white flowers, peach, and orange blossom with savory undertones of sage and toasted almonds. The
palate shows notes of quince and marzipan with honeysuckle and a hint of black pepper spice. The
finish is held long by the bright acid of the wine. Unfined and unfiltered.

Pour Ma Gueule" is a term commonly used by French vintners, translates to "for my gob" & usually refers to a stash of wine determined too good to sell to the public & reserved for the winemakers' personal consumption. Vineyards planted between 1998-2008 in granitic soils at 330 feet altitude. Farmed lutte raisonée. After a 10-day cold soak. Aged on the lees for 12 months.

Delicious, organically farmed, natural wine from 100 year old vines grown on volcanic soil in the heart of the Bio Bio Valley. A superbly fresh light-medium bodied red bursting with fruit. Sven Bruchfeld was using his Cabernet Sauvignon in the past to blend in his Polkura Syrah and Malbec. After seeing how good the grapes were, he decided to make a beautiful, balanced AND affordable wine. Medium to heavy body, dark berries on the palate. One of the best values in the market!

Aromas of lime, green apples and linden blossom, with a hint of jalapeño characteristic of Casablanca Sauvignon blanc. In the mouth, the wine is weighty, with yeasty notes and refreshing acidity. This hand harvested, single vineyard wine is 100% Riesling from Itata. The nose has notes of orange peel, lemon balm, lavender, and apricot that leads into a finish laced with good acidity and some viscosity. A little Fruity Pebbles quality on the palate with maybe a touch residual sugar that adds to the texture. Really great value and spot on varietal notes.

This Garnacha is from a single plot at 2,179 meters altitude, in the Valle de Elqui. Destemmed, then fermented in a closed troncoconic vat with indigenous yeasts and finally aged in concrete eggs for 23 months. It's a light, aromatic and incredibly floral wine, with moderate alcohol and very fine tannins. Incredibly elegant and nuanced. Pair this with lamb and grilled veggies!

Louis-Antoine Luyt is a champion of the “original” Chilean wine grapes, those used to make the wines of the early Spanish settlers. The combined vine ages range from 75 to 150 years for all of the grapes in this mix, mainly from granitic, clay-based soils. All done in stainless steel and only lightly filtered, this is a floral, medium-bodied, creamy-textured white.

“Chilean wine” conjures up an image of large wineries that produce multiple brands of clean, well-made, ripe and fruity international varietals. But Viña Maitia represents a new direction in Chilean wine, one of smaller producers, unfamiliar regions, older vineyards, and a simpler, more hands-off approach to winemaking.

This red field blend consists of grapes from 6 different vineyards with vines that are 60-110 years old. The nose is an intoxicating mixture of wild flowers, aromatic herbs and spices, with bright red fruit, hints of cassis and pollen, with quite a lot of complexity. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins and refreshing minerality from the region's granite soils.

The Portezuelo fruit is organically grown by Patricio Martinez in the Bìo Bìo region (south of Maule in the dead-center of Chile, the area most dedicated to the growing of Paìs). His Paìs vines have a litlte Cinsault, or Cargadora, mixed into the 150-year-old plantings, on granitic soils which Louis-Antoine says are most reminiscent of Morgon's esteemed Côte du Py.

The combined vine ages range from 75 to 150 years. The Moscatel comes from the northern Maule region. The other grapes come from one of Chile's smallest regions, Itata. The wines were made separately with approximately three weeks of skin maceration for both, in stainless steel tanks. The Blanco does not drink as an orange wine, instead it's floral, creamy and structured.

MAX Carmenere is made from grapes hand-picked in Errazuriz’ prestigious Don Maximiano Estate, located in the Aconcagua Valley, a semi-desert region where the hot Summer days are cooled by afternoon breezes. The high day-night temperature differences of the Don Maximiano Estate slows ripening and helps create intensity of flavors and concentration.

120 Cabernet Sauvignon is an intensive red violet wine, on the nose red and black fruit are dominant with a touch of spice, distinctive of this variety intermingled with aromas of vanilla, clove and tobacco from wood. On the palate it is well-rounded, with sweet, elegant tannins that remain strong providing a juicy, fresh lingering finish.

The 2012 Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon/Syrah has aromas of cassis, red currants and tart cherries followed by floral and dark berry characters.
