Pablo Peñalba López acquired the Finca Torremilanos estate in 1975, By the early 2000s, their eldest son, Ricardo, had stepped into his father’s role and began investigating better farming methods, including returning to horse-plowing, hand picking, and native-yeast fermentation. Easy drinking, but true to varietal. Dark in color, light in tannins, and medium bodied.

The 2023 has aromatic intensity and is still very primary and undeveloped, combining power and good development of aromas and flavors with more finesse and elegance. It has 13.5% alcohol and a velvety texture; it went through full malolactic, which gives some creaminess, but it's neatly balanced by the granite minerality. The wine is still fresh and has longevity.

From the La Dama parcel planted in 1903! This single-parcel offering is a delicate expression of Garnacha sourced from the estate’s highest elevations and stoniest sites. 100% Verdejo from a single plot called "Los Navales" near Segovia. The vines are 135 years old and all ungrafted, pre-phylloxera grown organically. The wine is aged for 10-12 months in the same 600L used barrels, however unlike a lot of his other wines this is not at that low of a temperature - he wants the wine to have a touch of volatility. Zero SO2 🙂

Bodegas Venta la Vega encompasses 225 ha of organically farmed vineyards in Almansa. Garnacha tintorera is joined here by a touch of syrah, yielding a mouthful of fresh red fruit, mineral undertones, and a touch of spice on a medium-bodied frame that finishes clean and vibrant, all with well-integrated tannins.

With a pale lemon-yellow color, this Sauvignon Blanc has intense citrus aromas of grapefruit mingled with ripe pineapple.

A fresh and vibrant blend made by Agustì Costa and Paula Sandoval. They have made a mission of resurrecting ancient parcels of land in of Macabeu, Xarello, Parellada, and Malvasia. Balanced with generous fruit. It's a beautiful wine made with reverence for the natural offerings of the wild environment.

As a nod to this somewhat forgotten past, the wine is vinified with carbonic maceration and no de-stemming, as was often the tradition in the region some 80-100 years ago. It comes from a vineyard called “Santamaria” planted at 500+ meters on clay, with vines between 25 and 40 years old. 100% lo-tech, juicy, aromatic joy!

A blend of local grapes from Extremadura - Cayetana and Pardina. Certified organic with some biodynamic principles
too grown over clay soils at 550m elevation. One month maceration, fermentation with indigenious yeast in cement
tanks, followed by around 3 months further aging in concrete deposits. Bottled unfined, unfiltered, and a tiny bit of
SO2 at bottling.

Viñas de Arcilla is the only 100% Tempranillo wine from Goyo Garcia, sourced from a northeast facing vineyard of very old Tempranillo vines (80+ years) on sandy clay soils.

A wild Pet-Nat from vineyards just east of Oriol's plots in Alella. Mostly Ull de Llebre (Tempranillo) with 30% Moscatell d'Alexandria, the color is a deep rosé, with perfumed, floral aromas from the Moscatel, and tangy red fruit from the red grapes.

The recommendation is to stand the bottle for 2 days and open it very cold!

Not to be confused with Albariño, Albarín is a beautiful white variety native to León in central Spain. Textural and layered, this white offers an abundance of orchard fruit like Anjou pear, Fuji apple, white flowers like honeysuckle and gardenia. Autumnal, this is the perfect white for seasonal stews, rice dishes and poultry.

This is a delightfully unique Blanc de Noir from Spain's breezy Atlantic coast. The grapes are organically grown over clay, granite, and quartz soils and harvested by hand. Direct press keeps the color light. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts followed by aging in neutral old French oak for 11 months. Bottled unfined, unfiltered and with minimal to no s02 at bottling.

The result of the hard work of the Pérez family and the winegrowers that have been working this land for generations is Cims de Porrera “CLÀSSIC”: a path of recognition and appreciation for what we understand as “Priorat’s pure expression”. The juice is expressive and powerful with complex layers of fruit and earthy components that fade on a lingering, memorable finish.

Vibrant and structured red blend coming from old vines in the Ribeira Sacra DO of Northern Spain. Predominately Mencia, it has ripe black cherry, cranberry and rosemary stems on the nose, the palate is medium bodied with silky tannins and an herbal finish. A "chill-able afternoon summertime red" blend of Syrah and Tempranillo. 50% Syrah is destemmed and lightly crushed, 45% Tempranillo destemmed, and 5% Tempranillo whole clusters. Fermented together in the same tank for 8 days and then pressed. Annual production is 6,672 bottles.

After time spent working at Domaine de la Romanée Conti and Vega Sicilia–arguably two of the most significant wineries on planet– Jorgé Monzon bought abandoned vineyards near the Duero River with old vines too difficult for anyone else to want to work with. 100% Mencía from a single vineyard of thirty-year-old vines planted on granitic soils at 250 meters altitude on the north bank of the River Sil, in the paraje of Romeu (this is in the Amandi subzone of D.O. Ribeira Sacra, though the wine is made outside of the D.O.). Grapes were harvested by hand and destemmed, then fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel tank.

The union of three varieties so similar yet so different, collected at the same time, reassembled and harmonize together for a day." All the grapes for their rosat come from a single vineyard and are harvested together at the same time.

Intriguing and complex, this white shows high intensity of aromas on the nose with white blossom, green apples, grapefruit, orange peel and a touch of spices, such as cinnamon. A savory, spicy, silky blend of Garnacha Tintorera — known elsewhere as Alicante Bouschet, and unique in the fact that the pulp as well as the skin is deeply colored (most red grapes have pale flesh inside those inky skins) — and Moravia Agria, a rare grape with high acidity and low alcohol. Medium-concentrated with good crispness and a rounded finish with notes of wild roses and mild spices. The wine is nicely tamed with a good balance between fruit sweetness and cool tones, which reveal the cultivation at altitude. It can be enjoyed on its own, but it is especially good with vegetable dishes, pasta or barbecue.

Light aromas of oak, with pear and apricot. The palate brings notes of stone and orchard fruits. Good length.

From all of Oriol’s usual vineyards in Alella: this was the only wine that he was able to make from his own grapes in 2020, pulling from vines of different ages, mostly on sandy granite soil. Most of the grapes were destemmed, but some Garnatxa was left whole cluster, all aged in stainless steel with 2 days of gentle skin-contact. Only 3296 bottles made.

This Mencia is dark, structured, and laden with umami. Seaweed, mushrooms, and stems feature prominently in the bouquet. As the wine continues to open, fresh blackberries and blueberries along with fresh violets begin to take over. A really complex wine, and made with love.

There are notes of youth here, apples and green almonds, soft and tender, still quite fruit-driven and without the spicy and nutty notes that should come later with some time in bottle. However, 2018 is a much cooler year, and in years like that, the wine is more expressive of the soil and the effect of the flor yeast is milder when it comes to aromas and flavors.

Medium ruby black color. Aromas and flavors of red apple, strawberry juice, black cherry, and red twizzlers with a supple, crisp, dry medium body and a tingling, appealing, medium-length finish with overtones of red plum, licorice, graphite, and sweet paprika with no oak flavor. Light yellow. An exotically perfumed bouquet evokes ripe melon, nectarine and mango, with hints of lemon pith and ginger adding urgency and lift. Cume do Avia Colleita 7 Blanco 2019 is a white wine with intense aromas of exotic fruit and citrus and notes of freshly cut grass. On the palate it is fresh, smooth and well structured. A wine with fruity sensations, refreshing acidity and an elegant finish.

A delightful mix of green fig, guava and tomato leaf gives this Malvasia a solid mix of fruity and herbal tones. It's ripe and juicy on the palate, with a lingering herbal twang that makes the mouth water

With a straw yellow color, Yzaguirre Classic White Vermouth has an intense aroma with herby and spicy notes. Mild balsamic touches give it a pleasant and very unique structure. Fresh and smooth in the mouth and very well balanced, it has notes of vanilla and cinnamon.

For this wine, old Grenache vines are biodynamically farmed, harvested by hand, and fermented with wild yeast before aging in amphora. This minimalist approach lets the grape shine, radiating dark fruits, loam and sweet leather scents, with a dense dark fruit character, a velvet texture, and a buoyant hint of citrus.

An amazing minerality defines this wine, perfect for fans of stony or briny white wines. Made from a white mutation of the red carignan grape, scents of quinine and grapefruit carry to the palate with dried citrus notes and a textured, grape-macerated mouthfeel. All of this flows around an excitingly pure core of stoney wet slate.

This Spanish sparkler is produced using the traditional Cava Method and aging for 9 months. On the palate think Meyer lemon zest, ripe apples and toast points. Pair with a casual brunch spread or light lunch.

Casas de Enriba comes from Laura Lorenzo' 20-year-old vineyard lying on the steep slopes of the Xares Rivertwo; south-facing parcels of young Mencía on granite with a mix of gravel, clay, gneiss, quartz, etc. The certified biodynamic wine is floral and mineral, with fine tannins and vibrant acidity.

LAN Reserva is a traditional style Rioja, aged 22 months in oak barrels. Intense, bright cherry red with garnet tinges. Complex, with an elegant symphony of black fruits and forest fruits wrapped up with aromas of vanilla and spices. Full bodied with silky tannins and a very persistent and pleasant finish.

The winery is dedicated to the recovery and preservation of ancient local grape varietals on the verge of extinction. The varietal Arco has a floral and earthy nose, and beautiful delicate acidity drawing inevitable comparisons to Pinot Noir while also having wild herbal notes similar to Rhone and other Mediterranean wines. Classic with a paella this wine is a rare treat.

An unusual and gastronomic white produced with a blend of white and red grapes vinified white. Fil.loxera & Cia is one of the first wineries to work in recovering forgotten local grape varieties with good success. This wine's full of character, powerful but fresh, with some leesy aromas and a touch of white pepper, perhaps from being partially matured in oak and acacia barrels.

A Psychedelic red wine ride!!!! This Mencia is dark, structured, and laden with umami. Seaweed, mushrooms, and stems feature prominently in the bouquet. As the wine continues to open, fresh blackberries and blueberries along with fresh violets begin to take over. A really complex wine, and made with love.

Cubillo is the youngest López de Heredia wine in the stable, referring to the vineyard of the same name. The average vine age is 40 years. Though it is always the most recent vintage of all their wines, it sees two years in used American oak barrels and another two in bottle prior to release, making it nearly old enough to be classified as a Gran Reserva.

Dark mahogany in color. Vibrant notes of maple syrup, brown sugar, shoe polish, raisin and chocolate; Well integrated. Soft textured and rich at the beginning; prune and burned orange peel flavors. This venerable sherry producer based its warmly spicy, rich vermouth on a recipe from the bodega's archives dating to 1906. Clove, savory, nutmeg, cinnamon, and other spices over a base of oloroso and Pedro Ximinez sherries create its complex range of flavors.

The brothers Martinez Lacuesta developed their vermouth formula in the 1930s and have been producing it in the Rioja town of Haro ever since. White wine is macerated with 24 plants and spices, and then aged in French oak. The resulting vermouth is lightly sweet, with a toasted, oaky character.

This wine exhibits a glass-coating opaque purple color. It has an expressive nose of pain grille, briar, minerality and blueberry and blackberry overtones. This plush, opulent wine has great density, savory flavors and a very lengthy finish that gets better with age.

It is an attractive, bright, pale gold cava. Its tiny, abundant bubbles rise up forming a large number of streams and a stable crown.

From an organic vineyard 700 meters above sea level. Grapes are hand harvested then 50% of the fruit undergoes carbonic maceration while the other 50% is destemmed and see traditional crushing maceration. It is destemmed, wild yeast fermented in tank, and bottled with minimal amounts of SO2 (around 35ppm).

Possibly the finest vintage to of their pure Garnacha. It's from old vines in the village of Badaran and is elegant and floral, & if you want more "Burgundian,"it has an iron-like note on the nose. Reminiscent of a fine white Burgundy with its slightly creamy-chiffon lemon fruit, a soft mix of cinnamon, nutmeg and touch of oak. The vineyard of Bodegas Albamar is located in Valle de Salnés, next to the mouth of the Umía river. Thanks to their proximity to the sea, the vines are caressed by the gentle sea breeze, giving their wines a very special character.

Antonella Gerosa and Massimo Marchiori are a couple of architect-turned-winegrowers from Piedmont, who together farm and make the wines of Partida Creus. No additives are used of any kind in making this wine. This is pure, natural Xarel-lo! Partida Creus XL Xarel-lo is made from old vines planted on calcareous clay soils and the grapes ferment spontaneously.

Albahra (Castilian for "small sea") is named for the vineyard area in the Almansa region. The Garnacha Tintorera is foot-trodden in vat. Albahra does see a little of the near extinct Moravia Agria blended in as well creating a truly one of a kind wine. This Spanish white is mostly Albariño, but highly unusually for Rías Baixas (a tiny Galician region now synonymous with top-notch Albariño) it contains a broad blend of other local heritage varieties: Clean, fresh, floral aroma, with plush stone fruit on the palate so classic of Albariño.. These old varieties are in dwindling supply but here add complexity and layers.

This Txakolí has the soul of its owner, Jon Goenaga, a self-taught winemaker who has managed to produce spectacular wine while respecting the land and its environment. Txakoli is a highly esteemed white wine in our Basque Country, made mostly from the grape called Hondarrabi Zuri. Jon's is very fresh, with sparkle and with its own personality.

This Godello is from Monterrei DO, which has a mild Mediterranean climate influenced by the Atlantic, perfect for the Godello grape variety. Aromas of apple and pear dominate with subtle citrus nuances. An intense wine with structure derived from the lees contact. A long persistent finish.

Garnacha Blanca has been grown in Navarra since the late 1800s. Viña Zorzal farms their Garnacha Blanca in a cool, high altitude, gravel vineyard. It's fermented in stainless steel and ages in large neutral oak barrels. It's a fresh, likely, expression of Garnacha Blanca with notes of waxy apples and great tension.

From the Mediterranean influenced village of Corella in Spain. The wine is harmonious, spicy, with an herbal hint, with some dusty tannins, chalky and a bitter twist in the finish.

I noticed the Syrah here, combined with classical Gratallops sweet Garnacha and a pinch of spices. The palate is medium-bodied, with the fine slate texture, generous, warm and showy, but without excess, with the graphite holding it together. This is a Gratallops Vi de Villa.

This is an intense white wine with unique personality: nuts, pear skins, smoke, and sea salt.

From master winemaker Raúl Pérez, this beautiful white wine comes from the Bierzo district, a cool, rugged vineyard zone in northwestern Spain. When Pablo Calatayud founded Celler del Roure in 1995, he chose an ancient country estate with a subterranean cellar containing dozens of 17th century amphorae as its setting. After restoring them, he is using these clay vessels to make wine once again. Cullerot, which means tadpole, utilizes heirloom white varieties to produce this wine bursting with honeyed stone fruit.

From one of the up and coming producers in Asturias, this is a blend of Mencía and Albarín tinto. The wine is fermented and aged in a combination of stainless steel tanks and chestnut uprights. This stunningly delicious rosé sparkler is made from old-vine Trepat (80%) and Garnacha (20%) vines grown in the hills southwest of Barcelona. Dry, silky smooth and graced with super-fine bubbles, the wine is a gorgeous concoction of citrus, berries, cream and minerals. Delicious and one-of-a-kind!

Winemaker Joan Ramon Escoda makes this fabulous. multi-dimensional orange wine, which is a blend of mostly Maccabeu and Parellada, with Sumoll Blanc, Garnacha Blanca, and Chenin Blanc, fermented with native yeasts, 2 weeks on the skins, and bottled with no added sulfites. Super fresh, fleshy and just a bit funky. An excellent vintage for the Bassotets.

The 2017 Dido gets aromatics from the Syrah, with smoked bacon, violet aromas, and contained ripeness. The grapes are planted on granite soils that take a long time to ripen, giving the wine firm tannin and an electric sensation. It features good complexity and great juiciness, with even more freshness than the already-phenomenal 2016. Amazing value. 85,000 bottles made.

Pale, green-tinged yellow. Bright and sharply focused on the nose, displaying incisive Meyer lemon, honeysuckle, quinine and mineral scents, along with a hint of ginger in the background. Dry, taut and light on its feet, offering intense, mineral-laced citrus and orchard fruit flavors that show no excess weight.Finishing spicy note, displaying strong, floral-tinged persistence.

Spontaneous fermentation in one 1500L foudre. Around the beginning of Spring, a veil of flor develops on the wine. The wine remains in the foudre under this flor for between one and two years, depending on the level of reduction. It is then bottled without fining or filtration.

A rare wine coming from one of the oldest existing Soleras, dating back to 1790. While sold as a VORS ( >30yrs) it is at least 2x that age and comprised of only 25 barrels. This sparkling shows aromas of white fruits, citrus, tropical fruits, and light floral notes. The palate is exquisite, complex and full of flavor, with good acidity and notes of lime and pineapple. It is dry and long on the finish.

Black garnet color. Aromas of cocoa dusted dried cherries, mixed peppercorns, chocolate taffy, ivory, and paprika with a satiny, crisp, dryish light-to-medium body and a medium-length cherry stone finish with light oak. I love Godello! These wines are balanced and elegant. They have just enough wood and acid. To my palate they drink just like a beautiful Chablis. The soils are super similar to that of the Chablis region. They are both comprised of a variant of chalk. This wine will satisfy a chardonnay drinker as well.

Hand Work is the dream of three brothers, Francisco, Javier and Luis Parra, a way to celebrate their home of La Mancha by raising organically and biodynamically grown grapes. This Garnacha has flavors of juicy red cherry and strawberry on the palate and mouth-watering acidity. Unoaked. This wine pairs well with Paella.

Victoria Torres Pecis is now the sole owner and caretaker of her family’s centenarian winery in La Palma, Canary Islands. La Palma is in the northern part of the archipelago, further west into the Atlantic from the African continent. Single-varietal harvested by hand and aged with its lees (as are the rest of her wines) for seven months before a short time in large oak barrel

This estate is made up of 4 hectares spread across 17 mini parcels, all of which bush pruned vines averaging 50 years of age under organic certification. In Basque herri means town and goia means up, translated let’s just say it means uptown higher grounds resulting in fresh wines with great acidity. The soils are poor and produce low yields but high quality grapes.

Very deep red cherry color. Rich & muscular, with exotic roasted spice and blueberry notes, followed by racy graphite and espresso. The ripe finish of chocolate and spice is well-balanced. Pair with paella, pasta, roasted vegetables, mushrooms, stewed meat, sausage, or pork.

Viticulturist Isaac Cantalapiedra and his son Manuel work some 20 hectares of vineyards. Grapes are destemmed, and macerated 4-24 hours before pressing. The juice is wild yeast fermented 90% in steel vat, 10% in used French barrels, raised on lees for 8 months, and bottled with a light filtration and fining. The result is bewitching.

Half in unroasted French oak barrels, and half in concrete tanks, it is a Burgundian-style white, showing above all the qualities of the payment, with complexity but without excess of wood, a white with delicate citrus aromas and tropical fruit, a sweet background of vanilla and bakery notes, voluminous in the mouth but with very good acidity and a refreshing palate.

Mart is made from a native grape variety of the Penedés, which came close to extinction, but which has now bounced back. The grapes are cold macerated for 48 hours to obtain an aromatic extraction and a slight pink colour. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks.This wine is mainly sourced from Les Solanes, a family estate with 2 hectares of Xarel·lo growing in very special clay-limestone soils.

Rodrigo Mendez began to revitalize these nearly extinct ancient coastal red vineyards by grafting & replanting these nearly forgotten varietals. Spicy, black pepper nose. The nose combines, smoky, spicy and creamy notes with aromas of ripe berries and a touch of earth. It's a matter of style, but I like it less when the oak is more obvious, even if the wider audience might prefer it. However, this should work very well with food and better integrate the oak with a little more time in

100+ year old ungrafted vines from volcanic soil on the Canary Islands. Medium bodied and acid driven with wild red fruit giving way to a smoked herb complexity. The depth and balance of flavor here is striking. Sneaky tannin add structure to the tart smokey finish. Great now with a short decant and will only get better

Generally used as base wine for rosé cava, trepat normally showcases lighter body, lower alcohol and a lighter color. Not the case with Mentider (which means liar in Catalan)! 80-100 year old vines showcase dark fruit and a rich expression of trepat.

Los Dos Rose is both elegant and lively on the palate with flavors of fresh raspberry, lychee fruit, and white flowers. Fresh with a silky mouthfeel and a long, lasting finish.

Smoky, oaky aromas rest on top of basic berry scents, with hints of leather and animal as the wine breathes out. This feels tight and juicy in the mouth, with pulling tannins. Oaked-up black-fruit flavors end with spice notes and a hint of chocolate.

This varietal is the brother of pinot noir with good acidity and very floral. A very subtle grape with floral aromatics, the berries are only pressed with feet and hands to aid during the natural fermentation and never uses pumps to keep the cap submerged. The wine rested for nine months in a few used Burgundy barrels. Only 360 bottles imported to USA.

Altaroses is Joan d’Anguera’s “village” Garnatxa made from younger vines (10-35 years old) sourced from 9 hectares of vineyards surrounding their cellars in Darmós. As with all the wines made at the cellar, it is fermented with whole clusters and indigenous yeasts, aged in neutral barrels and bottled unfined and unfiltered with only a tiny amount of SO2.

A nice blend of the 3 grapes of Cava with 5% of Garnatxa Tinta which will give a beautiful pink color and add complexity to the wine.
Fresh, floral and ripened red fruits on the nose with a perfectly balanced, delicate, long and clean finish on the palate.
Recommended for aperitif or cimbined with pasta, blue fish or well-seasoned white meat.

The fruit that goes into this wine is sourced from the estate's oldest verdejo vines. These vines range from 100 to 140 years old and are growing on original rootstocks in sandy soils. The wines nose is fresh and exotic, with notes of lime leaf and lime blossom. It's an inviting wine, mid-weight, with a great balance of minerality, earthiness, citrusy fruit.

This very enjoyable Rioja Oriental Gran Reserva marries Tempranillo with a little Graciano and comes from the La Pasada vineyard, located between 700 and 800 metres. Chalky, fresh and showing the class of the vintage, it has notes of cedar wood and wild herbs and a core of still youthful black cherry and bramble fruit. Light tannins and juicy acidity keep this focused.

Maravedíes are an ancient form of currency once used in Castilla and 30,000 Maravedíes was the amount that Don Alvaro de Luna paid a local monastery, centuries ago, for the land where Bodega Marañones is now located. It is a fitting name for this “village” wine made from three terroirs that Fernando farms: Marañones, Andrinoso and Dehesa.

Finca la Planella is a 7ha north-facing vineyard planted with 15-50 year old Carinyena, Syrah and Garnatxa on clay limestone soils. For Planella, they select older vine Carinyena and blend it with 15% younger vine Syrah. The grapes are hand harvested, fermented whole-cluster with natural yeasts in concrete vats, then crushed by foot. Ages for 12 months in neutral French oak.

The family-run cidery, Bereziartua, has become a beacon in the production of Basque-style Spanish natural cider since the 1870s. This Sidra was fermented in oak for 4 months adding both complexity and structure. Notes of bright lemon, tart green apple, passion fruit, and a healthy dose of Baque funk and acidity.

Envinate was founded by four young adults who met while studying oenology, and decided to set up Envínate to develop wines in the different zones from where they came from. Always with the spirit of winemakers and with respect for the land, they aim to intervene as little as possible when transforming the grapes into wine, true craftsman.

Corriente is made using no cultivated yeasts in raw concrete and aged in a mix of barrel and foudre for a year. As an exercise in resurrecting history, Corriente is an example of how lovely ‘regular’ Rioja may have been in the late 19th century. a fine-tuned red with some time in cement, with some rusticity and character, mixing berries and hints of orange peel and spice.

The nose sports a complex combination of fresh, yeasty bread, ripe apples, a hint of sour and mineral notes. A hint of citrus stands near also along with a earthen character and a hint of brett. There is a rough elegance to this Spanish sparkler that is very appealing.

organically farmed vines 35 to 40 years old. It fermented in open-top oak vats for 10 to 12 days, with two daily pigéages and one soft remontage after a 24- to 48-hour cold soak. The élevage was 12 months and malolactic was also in barrique. It's very fine and elegant, a vineyard that keeps the elegance in more powerful years.

I tasted this wine early October 2018, and I still don't think I've tried anything quite like it. The finish literally lasted minutes! I shouldn't be surprised that this comes from literally the oldest vines in Spain. 210-254 years old. One of the most complex and interesting Spanish Whites ever made. - Mason

This wine opens with aromatics of black raspberry, black tea, and hints of cran-orange. There are bright flavors of red cherry, black raspberry, Earl Grey tea, and wild blackberry with a leathery edge. This is approachable now and another great value buy by Ontañón. Fresh fruited while still retaining classic characteristics you would respect from Rioja.

“The Two Marias,” is named after the winemakers’ grandmothers, who were both “Marias.” This Verdejo has flavors of stone fruit, almonds and notes of citrus peel. Full bodied and smooth in the mouth with good structure and a long, fresh finish.

Enticing straw lemon in color with greenish reflections, Quibia offers pleasantly unusual notes of white peach, pear, sea brine and jasmine. On the palate, the wine is weighty with creamy texture and concentrated flavors but at the same time fresh, delicate and well balanced.

This super classical cuvée showcases the wines from Haro, silky and elegant after long aging in oak and a good future in bottle. 2009 was a powerful vintage, ripe but with good balance. The color is a lemon golden yellow. It is clear and fresh on the nose, with aromas indicating a very good biological aging, crystallized fruit, wild and floral notes, dried fruit, and almond. On the palate it is light, tasty, enveloping, fresh and persistent. A pale and delicate style of sherry with a salty tang from the sea.

Alvaro Palacios is one of the most celebrated of Spanish winemakers. He was instrumental in the rejuvenation and subsequent popularity of wines from the Priorat region. Made up of the fruit of the estate's younger vines. After fermentation this wine spends a brief few months in oak before bottling. The result is a fresh, youthful, expressive version of Priorat red wine.

Straw yellow in color with green reflections, this wine is clean and bright. On the nose, there is a concentration of varietal and mineral aromas -- notes of fruit mix with more herbaceous aromas of laurel, fennel and thyme. This Verdejo is dry, balanced and round with volume on the palate. There is a certain bitter touch, typical of the varietal.

The wine shows a red cherry colour with violet nuances that denotes its youth. On the nose, it has varietal aromas nicely blended with the red fruits. On the palate, it is full-bodied, elegant and round. It also leaves a pleasant aftertaste of ripe fruit.
