This is the first bottled-in-bond offering from Mile High Spirits, a Denver distillery working to produce top-quality spirits. Bonded means it's aged at least four years, so it's a bit more mature than their regular bourbon. Expect notes of caramel apple, toasted pecan and spicy rye. It's a nice entry in the growing Colorado distilling landscape.

Distillery added this to their stable of whiskeys finished with Aspen barrel staves, finishing it for four months in barrels used to age maple syrup. The result is definitely maple-forward, but not as sweet as you might expect. The nose brings maple, straw and oak, with a palate of maple, rye spice, cinnamon and fig. It's a compelling pour and a good change of pace.

This Seattle distillery is another top producer committed to pushing single malts to the forefront. Made from their “signature five-malt barley”.

Nose: Custard filling, marionberry compote, maple brittle, toasted marshmallow.
Palate: Almond nougat, crème brûlée, black tea, white flower petals, malted milk balls.

Ripe strawberry notes along with delicate floral and rose petal aromas. Fruit-forward notes of fresh raspberry, strawberry, and red cherry. Pleasant mouthfeel with balanced acidity and sweetness. Josh's favorite wine.

Capismee means "understand me" in Piedmontese dialect and was named as such with the idea in mind that Nebbiolo from Barolo should communicate not only the character of the grape but also the terroir. This unoaked wine fully expresses the heart of Monforte d’Alba and Domenico’s love for Nebbiolo. Intended to be understood, not contemplated, this wine is straightforward and good

This lovely sparkling pink wine comes from grapes grown on the 1st and 2nd terraces of hillsides in Lot Valley of the Cahors. Harvested in the early morning to maintain freshness, they start fermenting in stainless, then are transferred to the bottle to produce bubbles.The mid-weight wine offers gentle bubbles, watermelon and cranberry ale notes on both the nose and the palate.

Brachetto is best known for its sparkling sweet versions but it shines as a dry wine. Sourced from the silty Anthos vineyard at 300 meters, this bright juice is fermented and aged for 8 mos in stainless steel prior to bottling. This aromatic red has exotic floral notes of rose petal and violet, juicy raspberry and blackberry fruit, with spices on the finish. Juicy and bright with no significant tannins. Perfect summer sipper!

A late and dramatically reduced harvest Beaujolais experienced its smallest in decades. The cooler vintage and lower yields bring this Nouveau vintage back to a classic style after a number of warm vintages. It's a lighter style-bright and lower in alcohol, showing cherry, red flowers, raspberry aromas, and a touch of spice. Drink now with a slight chill.

One of our favorite Armagnacs, the Delord XO offers up some complex and spicy flavors whilst being suitably easy to drink. Great after a meal with some chocolate, nuts or dried fruits.

Nose: Sweet baking bread, bright lime and sweetness. Taste: Thin to medium mouth feel. Faint ethanol, but it’s meek and well behaved. Some minerality, sweet agave melon, pepper and breadiness. Finish: Short, a bit of heat. Some plasticity, faintly chemical. Sweet roasted agave, rising bread, potato rolls, a hint of pepper and salinity.

Nose: Grassy. Citrus. Medium smoke.

Palate: Light viscous feel – somewhat slick though. Sweetness is interesting – if it exists – a fruit punch creamsicle. Tobacco and white pepper in the middle. Warm, wet stone aftertaste and some brine. As it fades away there is a slight numbing effect (Sichaun pepper but not nearly as spicy).
