Lots of bacon fat, exotic flowers (I wrote liquid violet in my notes), and gamey blue fruits define the nose, and the balance is spot on, it has silky tannins and is just another brilliant wine.

Domaine de la Marinière's Chinon La Peau de l'Ours is 100% Cabernet Franc from the Chinon Appellation of the Loire Valley. This carbonically macerated red is light and gluggable. It is best served chilled and tastes of red fruits with a pleasant lightly flinty edge.

A dark and youthful Shiraz dominant blend, “Tikka”- named after the winery cat- explodes with black fruits, bramble, and peppery spice.
