Made in the Traditional Method of bottle conditioning like Champagne this wine spends 2-3 years on the lees becoming rich and creamy in texture with bright lemon on top.

Steve & Jill Matthiasson grow fruit specifically for their rosé. This means they keep the vines a little happier than for red wine, making plump juicy grapes and then harvest the fruit very early to ensure the wine is high toned, crisp and refreshing. All of the grapes come from the Windmill Vineyard and Hurley Vineyard, both of which are certified organic.

This wine has a superb red Amarante color with red Falun reflections. We found on the nose, Aleppo pine aromas associated with black plum. The mouth exposes a beautiful freshness and sucrosity on aromas of red fruit sabayon, blackcurrant cream and raspberry cream.

This wine has a very pretty Andrinople red color with Carmine reflections. The nose is magnificent on aromas of forest fruits, dominated by wild blackberry and raspberry, all accompanied by spicy notes of wild badiane and thyme in bloom. The mouth is complex with a superb length, dominated by notes of liquorice and Zan in violet.

This wine presents an attractive red garance color to the poppy reflections. The nose is elegant on aromas of soft spices, star anise, Sichuan pepper accompanied by cherry liqueur and floral notes. On the palate, the wine is elegant, greedy, with round tannins.

This is a standout California rosé that belongs any place the sun is shining (and is a good choice during rainy days and snowy nights too). Relying on low-intervention methods, Birichino produces Provence-inspired rosés (think: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre blends with plenty of garrigue spice and you're on the right track), with the verve and fruit forwardness of California.
