In 2001, Dale Ricci planted this unique vineyard of the native Austrian St. Laurent on loam and alluvial clay. Harvested on September 28th, 2018, the grapes were native yeast fermented in stainless steel and concrete with 50% whole cluster & inclusion.

Founded in 1978 but a that has grape growing history going back to the 1800s. One of the original Napa Valley bordeaux blends, Trilogy is a classic. The 1997 is very extracted with aromas that suggest anise, black fruits and ripe dark cherries. It is rich in the mouth and expansive on the palate with ripe berry, black cherry, coffee and currant flavors dominating.

This is the first collaboration between Francois Dufour and long time friend Salvatore Lovo. This wine is named after Francois’ first granddaughter, Kali, who’s bright charm, boisterousness, and zeal for life parallels the qualities of this wine. Enjoy note of green apple, fresh grass, bits of herbs and a dash of lime zest. The flavors mingle together with the pleasant acidity.

Steep sun-blessed slopes in the Isarco Valley and on the Renon at about 600 to 800 meters all south facing slopes. The carefully selected grapes are gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Stainless steel is also used for maturation to keep the wine fresh and crisp.

This 2018 is surely on of our favorite vintages of Sangiovese in recent memory. Immensely expressive aromas with notes of fresh cream, red berry fruit and dark cherry. Layer after layer of ripe fruit please the palate, while a long smooth (creamy) finish gives balance to an otherwise fruit dominant wine. Though quite young, the use of older American Oak barrels has given this sense of poise and balance rarely seen at this stage.

Tellus Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from Montecchio in the heart of Falesco’s estate in Umbria. Soils here are clay and calcareous, sitting at 300 meters ASL . Aromatics are fully developed with appropriate elevation while soils here produce a balanced Cabernet profile of moderate body, acidity and tannins. Flavors lean to ripe black fruits and tell-tale herbaceous notes.

Planted in 1966-1977 the 2017 Bourgogne Pinot Noir, which comes from vineyards just across the RN74 road in Volnay, offers pretty Morello cherries and crushed strawberry on the nose. The palate is well balanced with sappy red berry fruit, a fine bead of acidity.
