Moreau has two superb parcels of Chardonnay vines with different soils. One has pure, white limestone soil, which imparts a distinct minerality; the other parcel has a stony, red clay soil, where the grapes achieve optimal ripeness, giving the wine its structure & body. It is the combination of both origins that makes this wine rich, concentrated, fresh and complex.

The 2017 Pinot Noir Estate Pomarium is the most exotic, flamboyant wine in this range from Peay. Soaring aromatics and layers of bold, racy fruit rush out of the glass. Like the other 2017s, the Pomarium needs time to fully come together. Even so, it is impressive today. Crushed raspberry, pomegranate, mint and rose petal are all beautifully lifted in this sublime Pinot Noir.

Atticus is their first Straight Whiskey produced from grain to glass. It was aged Missouri white-oak barrels aged for 28 months. The white oak softens the often more aggressive flavors of American oak while adding a complementary array of flavors to the rye base. filled with dark cherry, malt, and molasses on the palate and a warming cacao and baking spice finish.

Named after the creek that runs through the distillery, this is a high rye, small batch bourbon from Willett Distillery. Well balanced nose with orange, fresh cut oak and cherries. Palate has a pleasant mouth feel with more cherries coming through along with baking spices and maple. It has dry, spicy and woody finish with a bit of lemon. Fantastic sipping bourbon.

Whole cluster fermentation in large oak vats. 30-day maceration followed by one year of aging in 1500-liter foudre and 500-liter neutral barrels. Bottled without fining or filtration. This wine is light and fresh with vegetal characteristics. Drinks more like a Burgundian Pinot Noir then a dense Mencia.

This year's Trousseau has so much style! – Alpine strawberry, delicate violet, and fresh soft herbs straight from a bright summer garden. The palate circles around polished fruit: watermelon, cran-apple, red currant, cherry, and tart raspberry with lingering dried plum. All the while notes of crunchy pickles offset silky rose petals and dusty black licorice.

Germans call it Lemberger, Austrians call it Blaufränkisch; let's call the whole thing off. What's important is that this black grape variety produces spicy wines with good tannins and firm acidity, similar to one of the crus of Beaujolais; in fact, until recently, Blaufränkisch was believed to be Gamay. These are often ageworthy wines, and they're Austrian beauties!!
