The Espadín agave, known as the genetic Mother of the Blue Weber Agave, is used to produce tequila, and is also the predominant agave used in mezcal production. Unique in itself, the characteristics of this agave showcase the aromas of wet earth, a rich smokiness on the mid-palate, and a finish reminiscent of wild flowers.

The Tepeztate, a subspecies of the Marmorata Family of agave, has a very distinct, erratic leaf structure and flourishes best on the sides of steep, rocky cliffs. The Tepeztate produces beautiful quiotes at the end of life which flower a rich yellow before turning to seed. This agave offers a powerful, unique aroma dominated by floral characteristics.

This cuvée is a selection of Nebbiolo from the younger vines of the various “cru” in Barbaresco supplemented by grapes from the neighboring village of Neive. The average age of the vines is 30 years. The wine is fermented in stainless steel for 10 days to 2 weeks and then is refined in large oak barrels for an additional year before being bottled. An astonishing value.

It’s juicy, polished and refined with medium to full body and compact, chalky tannins. Ripe blue fruit and dried flowers with stony minerality at the end.

Cedric Bouchard coaxes incredible nuance and complexity out of these meticulously maintained 40 year-old Pinot Noir vines. There is no dosage and the wine spent 16 months on its lees before being recently disgorged. The parcel in Val Vilaine, is a one and a half hectare plot that makes just over a 100 cases annually. 1.5 hectare holding in the famous Bricco di Neive vineyard, vines age 15 to 25-years-old. Here we find clcareous clay with a high percentage of sand. The wine is fermented on the skins for 18 days in stainless steel, aged 26 months in 25 hectoliter Slavonian oak casks. Dark, ripe, black berry and cherry fruits mingle with baking spices and herbs on the nose. Well-structured.

Ravera is the most important single vineyard in Comune di Novello. Very complex terroir where marls of Tortonian origin mix with clays and sandstones of the Serravallian period. Vajra’s Ravera comes from the southernmost amphitheater. Maceration lasted 28 days, including a long period of submerged cap. The wine was aged for 28 months in Slavonian oak cask,

Vintage after vintage this one of the most exciting Barolos made by one of Italy's greatest winemakers, Elio Altare. While not one of the most historic crus in La Morra, Elio's Arborina have become among the most prized wines of the region, and put the supple, fragrant qualities of the La Morra commune on display. They’re sensuous, rich, and age-worthy wines.

From a small holding in Roddi, Ambrogio is the only Barolo site in the commune. It’s a cooler vineyard near the Tanaro river that captures Nebbiolo aromas like no other site. Bricco Ambrogio has an intense and multifaceted aromatic spectrum. The core is soft and polished through a beautiful acid-tannic balance. There is an underlying depth and the finish is long and nuanced.
