2015 Margerum Sybarite Sauvignon Blanc22.99Happy Canyon of Santa BarbaraSauvignon Blanc

Rich creamy and full with layers of pear, grapefruit, and passion fruit.
The word SYBARITE is derived from Sybaris, an ancient Greek city in southeastern Italy noted for the luxurious, pleasure seeking behavior of many of its inhabitants. Very little SO2 is used, instead the lees and CO2 from fermentation help protect the wine from oxidation.

Turley Mead Ranch49.99Atlas Peak, Napa, CAZinfandel

Mead Ranch is planted at about 1600 feet on Atlas Peak, on the south eastern side of Napa Valley. The vineyard was originally planted in 1880, though Turley's block is primarily from 1970. This vineyard is head-trained, planted in red volcanic soil. Thicker skins and smaller berries make for solid tannin and the coolness of the site lends acidity to the balanced, dark blue fruit.

Balistreri VIneyards Syrah35.99CSU Vineyard - GRAND VALLEY

No sulfites, no filtering, no chemicals. 100% Whole Cluster fermented. Pretty crazy. About as spicy as anything else in this store, and maybe the most delicate Syrah my grandfather has produced. You won't find this at the winery because we're cellaring it for awhile... but I couldn't resist having some here at Joy. - Mason B

Balistreri Vineyards Albarino29.99Grand Valley AVA

First vintage. The grapes came in fairly early, but the wine is still greatly textured and full. A few days of skin contact, so yes, this is an "orange wine" and it's a bit cloudy. However, it's still ultra refreshing and has notes of wild apple and pear. The nose reminds me of some funky cider, but the fruit takes a back seat on the palate.

2019 Martha Stoumen Nero d'Avola43.99Mendocino County, California100% Nero d'Avola

The beauty of Nero d’Avola is its Chiaroscuro-like nature: brightness from its ability to hold onto acidity in warm Mediterranean climates, and darkness from its characteristic forest fruits. This soulful red wine is versatile and balanced, with bright acidity, soft dusty tannins, a touch of Worcestershire, coco, and dark, wild forest fruits.

Rootdown Rosé of Trousseau22.99St. Amant Vineyard

Succulent dark cherry, tobacco, cedar, dried herbs and olives add character. This is a decidedly bold, fruit-driven style, yet the wine retains a mid-weight sense of structure as well as good acidity. Today, though, the tannins are a bit clenched. The 2016 will be an absolute rock star if it opens up a bit more.
