2012 is a great year for Cabernet in Napa. Atalon's goal is to make a soft approachable Cabernet that is elegant yet impactful. The 2012 Atalon Cabernet Sauvignon is opaque dark ruby in color. There is a sweetness of dark fruit. Black cherry, blackberry, currant and plum lead the way to cocoa powder, spice and integrated oak. It has great depth and richness of black fruit.

Jasmine, honeysuckle, apricot and citrus aromas open. The bright, savory palate presents juicy pineapple, ripe pear, white peach and lemon zest framed in tangy acidity. Hints of Mediterranean herb add depth while a mineral note energizes the finish.

This a dry, medium-bodied red wine with intense aromas that are fine, fragrant and accented by a bitter-almond aromatics. This wine is great for drinking now or aging for for 4 or 5 years. Enjoy best with roasts, grilled meats, any sort of game and mature cheeses.

Strasser Weinberge means the ‘vineyards’ in ‘Strass’, the fruit for this wine is selected from three of Martin’s vineyards in the village. Grüner is typically a variety that does not see any wood in its aging and/or fermentation, and here Martin adds just a ‘whisper’ with the percentage he ages in old used barrels to soften a touch Grüner’s incredibly natural acidity. Vegan.

Extremely floral and fresh with blueberry aromas that follow through to a full to medium body, firm tannins and a fresh and tangy finish with lots of citrus rind. Low barrel impact here, spending eight months in second use wood. 500 cases made.

Very light, almost clear, copper color. The nose is interesting, a bouquet of white flowers and pencil shavings. On the palate it has huge flavors of pencil shavings with flint, rose water, pepper, and red currants. Smoke lingers on the finish. Pair with a fruit tart dessert.

Kermit enjoys a creative collaboration w/ some growers to find the best of their selections. They work to create a blend showcasing the region at a price point hard to match. Grapes were sourced from parcels next to the village of Beaumes-de-Venise from the terroirs Domaine de Durban. Chewy black fruit, a dark, supple, tender fleshiness, & grip that recalls its rustic terroir.

This Chardonnay Emerges from 65 year-old vines on Olivet Lane, Tropical fruit, almond, butter, brioche & spices meld together in a rich, oily Chard built on texture. Unctuous, powerful & beautifully layered in the glass, the 2013 hits all the right notes. The style is distinctly oily and resonant. There is no shortage of sheer appeal here.

Michel Brégeon is part renegade, part crusader, and full-blown terroirist. Thanks to his deep understanding of the nuances of the land, he plays the game much differently than the region’s caves cooperatives and negociants, who produce en masse and lose the subtlety of the appellation. A distinctly mineral profile that will continue to develop nicely in bottle for many years but is drinking beautifully now.

The 2015 Morgon has a clean and vibrant bouquet with perfumed dark cherries, redcurrant, a touch of gravel and touches of rose petal. The palate is nicely structured, brimming over with energy. The acidity is very well judged, quite sturdy as Morgon should be, no hard edges here but just the background "hum" of tension from start to finish. This is just a superb Morgon.
