This blend expresses the balance of ripe cherry fruit and earthy layers that are so appealing. The gamay is the first thing you notice, bright cherry aromas almost sweet in perception. The fruit hits the palate with energetically, then it gets a tad cerebral, with a solid backbone of acid and velvety tannins. Darker berry notes come through, and the finish is long.

Semi-carbonic maceration with submerged hat, temperature control and native yeasts, then aged in large oak foudres. Sexy, oak-spiced aromas of red berry compote, cherry-cola and incense, with a dusty mineral quality adding lift and cut. Shows very good energy and precision on the palate, offering silky raspberry and candied rose flavors that deepen with air. Clings with very good tenacity on the plush finish, which features supple tannins and echoing spiciness.

The Sibling Rivalry Pinot Gris has led us to Victoria's High Country and the cool climate region of King Valley. The aromas are lifted citrus, green apple, white peach and pear with spicy nuances. The palate is medium bodied with flavors of honeysuckle and pear supported by a mineral flintiness and finishing with beautiful crunchy acidity.

Aromas of honeydew melon, white peach, and lemon verbena with hints of star anise, nutmeg, and white pepper. The palate features flavors of banana and lemon zest with a hint of mid-palate salinity, and bright acidity that carries the wine to a long, graceful finish.

Tropical fruits are present in abundance, yet it is the citrus fruits that dominate this wine. The balancing acidity is the framework of this wine and is supported by elegant oak in the background.
