This iconic winery from the Faro appellation perched between the active Etna volcano and the Straits of Messina separating Sicily from the mainland is a field blend of incredibly old vines from rare indigenous varietals. Sourced from the vines abutting two streams that intersect on the estate, classic varieties including Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Tibouren comprise this fresh, red-fruited rosé. Domaine Guy & Yvan Dufouleur was established on the slopes of Nuits-Saint-Georges in 1596. It remains family-owned to this day! Very difficult to find wine of this quality at this price. 450 meters in elevation, this vineyard faces south east for optimal maturity and balance. This wine develops aromas of strawberries, cherries and blackcurrants. The flavors evolve into structured and rounded notes of red fruits as well as a bit of prune like characters. The tannins and fruit make for a delightful wine.

Aromas of crushed raspberry, violet, and toasted walnut unfold with finesse. The palate is medium to full-bodied, layered with red plum, clove, and savory spice. Silky yet structured tannins guide a lingering finish of fresh fruit and subtle earth. Best enjoyed from 2023 onward as it continues to evolve.
